What independent help and advice is available when finding the best home care provider for you or your loved one
Christmas can be difficult for those living with dementia, and their carers but with a few tips, we hope that it can also be enjoyable and fun.
Involve the person in the activities and planning. Ask what they would like to do, what they would like to eat, or watch on the TV.
Watch old films - one of our clients absolutely loves "Its a Wonderfu Life" and we love watching it with them!
Listen to some classic Christmas hits on the radio, CDs, or over the Internet. This often evoked memories and can spark a lovely chat!
Look through photos of Christmas times gone by.
Talk about Christmas cards they receive, who they're from to evoke some memories. Write and send some cards together.
Help them on Christmas Day especially by not overwhelming them, and involving them in the festivities.
Enjoy the Holidays - we wish you good cheer, and remember you're not alone.
